Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand and is situated in the upper half of the North Island. The Auckland area has a population of approximately 1.3 million people. The city is divided into a number of areas with the CBD nestled in the centre.

Auckland Airport is situated next to Manukau Harbour and is a 20 minutes drive from Manukau City and a 40 minute bus ride from the CBD. The Airport bus into Auckland central runs every 15 minutes and the one to Manukau runs half hourly.

Over 13 million passengers pass through Auckland Airport every year. The international side handles approximately 70 percent of foreign visitors as they enter or leave New Zealand. The airport is served by over 20 international airlines and is the second busiest airport in Australasia. Sydney is the busiest.

Auckland Domestic and International Terminals
Auckland Airport is divided into two terminal buildings that are almost one kilometre apart. Passengers can follow a walkway between the two areas or a free bus transfers people every 15 minutes.
